Why did I become a naturopathic doctor?⁠
⁠
I'm a researcher and planner kinda girl.⁠
⁠
When I was at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario for Biology I started researching all kinds of careers in the health field.⁠
⁠
I wanted to help people.⁠
⁠
I wanted to work one-on-one with people.⁠
⁠
And I didn't want to be bored.⁠
⁠
When I discovered naturopathic medicine, this is why it fit for me:⁠
⁠
- We get to spend a lot of time with our patients⁠
- We get to know the whole person, not just one concern⁠
- We have so many fun tools in our toolbox to help you feel better (food! herbs!)⁠
- My values of environmentalism align with this career⁠
- Each day and person looks different, which keeps it exciting and challenging (never boring!)⁠

I'm so grateful that I chose this path. ⁠

It's hard being my own boss, building a patient-base and owning my own clinic. But it's so rewarding and the pros definitely out-weigh the cons. ⁠

How and when do you introduce eggs to babies?⁠
⁠
I've combed the research and it's very conflicting!⁠
⁠
General consensus is "around 6 months."⁠
⁠
Some research said as early as 4, some said 6, some said 8 months. ⁠
⁠
So overall, my recommendation is around 6 months. ⁠
⁠
How are you going to introduce eggs?⁠
⁠
- scrambled, let them eat small pieces⁠
- egg-fry a food that they already have eaten, then puree it then it's part of what their eating⁠
⁠- hard boil an egg and mash it into breast milk or formula⁠
- hard boil the egg and mash it into another food like applesauce or banana if they have already had that food⁠

- rice cake
- 1 tbsp hummus
- 1/2 avocado, sliced 🥑
- sprinkle of hemp hearts
- salt and pepper
