Mind/Body Intervention Increases Pregnancy Rates in IVF
One-hundred-and-forty-three women (≤ 40 years) who were beginning
their first IVF cycle were randomly assigned to 10 mind/body sessions or a
control group for 2 IVF cycles. The pregnancy rate for the first cycle was 43%
for all subjects; however, only 9% of the mind/body group had attended a couple
of sessions. In the second cycle, the mind/body attendance was 76% and this
group had a 52% rate pregnancy versus 20% in the control group, which was a
statistically significant difference.
